Summer 2023 Linguistics Internship

The Language Conservancy is looking for linguistics interns for summer 2023!

Are you interested in an internship in linguistics with a nonprofit organization specializing in language revitalization?

The Language Conservancy (TLC) is based in Bloomington, IN and currently works with over 50 communities, schools and organizations to support Indigenous language projects. During this in-person internship, you will assist our linguistics team with data entry, revision, and organization, among other possible tasks.

Internship dates: May 30 – June 30 OR July 5 – August 11

Benefits: This academic internship provides housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications: Participants must be pursuing a Master’s or PhD. Previous professional experience in your area of interest is preferred, but not required.

Summer 2023 IT, PR/Events, and Graphic Design Internship

The Language Conservancy is looking for IT, PR/events, and graphic design interns for summer 2023!

Are you interested in an internship in IT/software development, PR and events management, or graphic design with a nonprofit organization specializing in language revitalization?

The Language Conservancy (TLC) is based in Bloomington, IN and currently works with over 50 communities, schools and organizations to support Indigenous language projects. During this in-person internship, you will assist your department of interest with a variety of tasks, which are outlined below.

Tasks may include:

  • Digital content structuring, app development/testing, and data cleanup (IT)
  • Event organization, community outreach, and social media management (PR/Events)
  • File organization, illustration and design under close direction, and writing as needed (Graphics)

Internship dates: May 30 – June 30 OR July 5 – August 11

Benefits: This academic internship provides housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.

Qualifications: Participants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Previous professional experience in your area of interest is preferred, but not required.
